Charles Barkley’s strained relationship with Michael Jordan may be getting mended.
Barkley recently revealed on “Mad Dog Unleashed” that he and Jordan have been in contact with each other again, and are planning to golf together once the NBA Playoffs are over.
“We had a conversation. We’re going to get together and play golf as soon as basketball is over,” Barkley said. “We’re not like Prince William and Prince Harry. We always have a lot of love for each other. We talked in the last 72 hours, decided to get together and play golf as soon as basketball is over.”

By Barkley’s own retelling, he and Jordan have been estranged for years. The two were formerly close, but, according to Barkley, the relationship went south over some of Barkley’s public criticism of Jordan and his stewardship of the Charlotte Hornets.
Jordan is no longer directly involved with the Hornets, which may be one reason the two are at least on speaking terms again. It has, after all, been years since they apparently spoke at length.
Barkley, of course, is not afraid to criticize even if it ruffles feathers. Jordan should know as much. Regardless, this is a positive development for their relationship.
