Toronto Blue Jays No. 3-ranked prospect Arjun Nimmala has been unleashing improved power in High-A this season. The 20-year-old is batting .257 with four home runs and an .891 OPS across 74 plate appearances for the Vancouver Canadians this season.
The Blue Jays' farm system contains a surplus of talented prospects that will get their time to shine when they reach the big leagues.
His ability to produce more power has come from a stronger frame and making adjustments to his swing and approach at the plate.
The shortstop has been making strides in boosting his offensive profile, and his recent success has made him an intriguing prospect to watch.

Considering that Nimmala shed a lot of weight last season, his focus was to bulk up his 6-foot-1 frame. The muscle he gained has helped him to generate more power.
But aside from that, he's made significant adjustments to his swing and batting approach. By refining his swing, he's been able to hit the ball across all areas of the field.
In addition, he's worked on improving his posture and landing position to optimize his power. However, he's also produced more reliable contact by adjusting his long swing, which has helped amplify his offensive output.
He's also worked on being more selective with his pitches, which led to 8 walks while striking out 13 times across his first 11 games.
Nimmala has demonstrated how his refined frame has delivered top-tier power. The home run he hit against the Hillsboro Hops displayed high exit velocities of 109 mph and was the farthest home run (437 feet) he's hit in his professional career.
He's found his groove in High-A, and with the way he's performing, he could move up to Double-A New Hampshire by summer.
