Five days after he earned his first NASCAR Cup Series win at Talladega, Carson Hocevar came back to the site of his first Truck Series win and won another race at Texas Motor Speedway.
The dominant driver of the night, Hocevar cleared Gio Ruggiero coming to the white flag in NASCAR overtime and held on as chaos ensued behind him to score his sixth career Truck Series victory after leading 76 of 172 laps in Friday's SpeedyCash.com 250.
"It's unbelievable," Hocevar told Fox Sports. "Thank you, everybody. It means a lot. I'm going to go burn down Chili's. What a fun race. I watched [Kyle] win a lot of Truck races and it's good to finally put an end to his Texas streak."
Busch had won the previous four Truck Series races at Texas and beat Hocevar in the Feb. 21 Truck Series race at Atlanta after Hocevar, his Truck Series Spire Motorsports teammate, provided the winning push.

Just as he did at Talladega, Hocevar did his celebratory burnout while partially hanging out of his No. 77 Chevrolet while the Texas crowd chanted his name.
It looked like Hocevar's chances of winning Friday's race were dashed after a 24-second pit stop during the race's final run. However, a caution with 20 laps to go re-racked the field and put Hocevar back in contention.
Hocevar won the race despite reporting a loose wheel to his team over the radio under the aforementioned caution period.
Kyle Busch took second with half a lap to go after Ruggiero, Kaden Honeycutt and Layne Riggs slipped on the exit of turn 2.
A pair of late cautions occurred after a thrilling battle for the lead between Honeycutt, Hocevar and Busch, sending the race into overtime.
Busch rebounded after slapping the outside wall in Stage 1 and being forced to come down pit road.
Busch finished runner-up to Hocevar, with Honeycutt, Brandon Jones and polesitter and Stage 1 winner Ben Rhodes rounding out the top five. Riggs, Daniel Hemric, Christian Eckes, Ty Majeski and Chandler Smith completed the top 10. Ruggiero faded to 14th after getting loose in turn 1 on the final lap.
Other notable finishers include Parker Kligerman in 11th, Ross Chastain in 12th, William Sawalich in 17th, Toni Breidinger in 18th and Corey LaJoie in 25th.
