Donovan Mitchell, James Harden speak out after Cavaliers' Game 2 loss to Pistons

The Cleveland Cavaliers fell for a second time to the Detroit Pistons in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Thursday with a 107-97 final score in downtown Detroit.

The Cavaliers could be panicking, but they aren't. Instead, they're staying surprisingly cool and calm about the 0-2 start to their series, and they're not even worried about James Harden's shaky performance.

During Game 2, Harden notched just 10 points and committed four turnovers, including one late in the game when the Cavaliers were within six points of the Pistons.

The strongest players for the Cavs were still strong. Donovan Mitchell had 31 points, and Jarrett Allen scored 22 points and had seven rebounds.

After the game, Mitchell had a surprising comment about his teammate Harden's showing. He said he wasn't worried about it at all.

"He's James Harden; we're not sitting here worried," Mitchell said Thursday night, according to ESPN's Jamal Collier. "He's going to figure this out."

Harden also commented on his rough game. He was pensive but not overtly freaking out when talking about it.

"Just missing shots," Harden said about his performance. "Second half, I think I took two shots, but the ball was moving. We're getting better shots. So, just picking and choosing my spots and figuring out what works, what doesn't work, for the betterment of the team."

On the Pistons' side, star guard Cade Cunningham had 25 points and 10 assists, Tobias Harris clocked 21 points and Duncan Robinson scored 17 points.

So, are the Cavs done? Don't count them out yet. Harden is likely taking a hard look at his Game 2 performance and what went wrong, and he'll take that knowledge into the next matchup.

Now, the series moves to Cleveland for Games 3 and 4, so the Cavaliers will also have home-court advantage.
