Curt Cignetti knows who he is. The Indiana Hoosiers' head football coach is damn good, and he knows it.
The only way to follow up on the "I win, Google me" statement without looking foolish was to do just that: Win.
Cignetti backed his smack talk up with an 11-2 record in year one in Bloomington, followed up by a perfect 16-0 record and a national championship win in 2026.
At Indiana.
He's brash, yes, but that works in his favor. It certainly worked in his favor on the recruiting trial with 3-star wide receiver Jordan Carrasquillo from Alpharetta, Georgia.
Carrasquillo committed to Indiana on Thursday over Wake Forest and Maryland. A former Ohio State lacrosse commitment, the 3-star wideout clearly believes in what Cignetti has built at Indiana, and that led to his decision to choose the Hoosiers.

“As soon as their first season with Coach Cignetti started, I knew this was a place I wanted to be,” Carrasquillo told Chad Simmons of Rivals. “Seeing them win and bring the program back up shocked me. And that is not changing. He is a winner. Especially with the recruiting class coming in, Indiana is going to keep winning.”
Carrasquillo is just Indiana's seventh commitment for 2027, but it's early on in the cycle. It's worth remembering that more than anything, Cignetti has made his name at Indiana via the transfer portal. There, the Hoosiers brought in a Top 10 2026 transfer portal class.
Cignetti is building a consistent winner at Indiana, and recruits like Carrasquillo are taking notice.
And that confidence? It rubs off on everybody.
“I like his arrogance because Coach Cignatti’s arrogance brings confidence," Carrasquillo said. "He knows he wants to win. And he knows how to win. There is no messing around. He is straightforward and a winner.”
