Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts sipped on a plastic cup of water while discussing the expected trade of wide receiver A.J. Brown on Wednesday.
Asked what a Brown trade could mean for the Eagles offense, Hurts took a long gulp before offering his answer.
"Picked the right question to sip on," the QB joked.
After quenching his thirst, Hurts offered more thoughts on Brown, whom Philadelphia will likely send to the New England Patriots on or after June 1. The Eagles could reportedly land a first-round pick in a package for the WR.

"We're focused on learning the offense. It really doesn't change, in terms of our approach, to improve," Hurts said. "There's an if. Obviously, it's been a lingering thing, but nothing can replace all of the greatness we achieved together."
Hurts and Brown reached two Super Bowls, winning one, over the past four seasons. The WR made two Pro Bowls and earned three second-team All-Pro nods during this span. The QB, meanwhile, made three Pro Bowls and landed one second-team All-Pro selection.
He'll enjoy that success when thinking about his time with Brown, whom he still considers a friend despite reported tension between the two.
"Nothing's changed since we spoke at the end of last season. We're really good," Hurts said. "I saw how beautiful the pictures came out at his wedding [to Kelsey Riley on May 16], and I'm very happy for him and his wife and family. It's just a beautiful thing to step into a covenant so I was very excited and congratulatory toward that."
Hurts reportedly didn't attend Brown's wedding, and it's unclear if the WR invited him. That has only added more fuel to the rumors about a rift between the two.
Regardless, the Eagles won't have to worry about infighting next season, assuming Brown is gone. Instead, they'll be more concerned about Hurts getting a grip on new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's playbook.
Philadelphia hopes the coaching change helps Hurts re-establish himself as a top passer. He faced increased criticism last season after ranking 20th in the league in QBR (55.2) and 16th in passing yards (3,224).
Hurts better have enjoyed the sip of ice-cold water. He's going to feel the heat next season if Brown is traded as expected.
