John Harbaugh and the New York Giants are off to an action-packed relationship together, and Harbaugh has really come in and changed the dynamic of this franchise in just a few months.
Now, Harbaugh and general manager Joe Schoen are signing former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"The Giants are signing former Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to a one-year deal, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus," Schefter stated on X on Monday.
So, what does this move mean for Harbaugh's offense? Let's break it down.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart handled his rookie season well in 2025. He took over as the starting quarterback in Week 4 and appeared in 14 games, finishing with 2,272 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns and just five interceptions, according to PFF research.
But that didn't translate into wins, and the Giants ended the season 4-13. Part of the problem is that Dart didn't has a strong wide receiver crew around him.
Now, Harbaugh has totally switched that up. He's brought in Smith-Schuster along with fellow wideouts Odell Beckham Jr. and Braxton Berrios. Add to that running back Cam Skattebo hopefully being healthy for Week 1, and New York is shaping up to have a powerful offense.
That's good news for Harbaugh. He's crafting a strong offense that should pull off a far better season than 4-13. In general, Harbaugh has prioritized having a physical, seasoned offense, and Smith-Schuster fits that to a tee. What Harbaugh needs in this team are players who know how to win, and Smith-Schuster won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2023, so his experience and insights are going to prove invaluable.
