Kyle Schwarber has been the best home-run hitter in Major League Baseball this season, and he continued that on Sunday by clubbing his 30th of the season for the Philadelphia Phillies in their 5-4 win over the New York Mets.
That 30-home-run mark not only leads the major leagues, it is five more than the next closest player.
It also set a Phillies record for the fastest to 30 home runs in a single season.
Schwarber's 30th home run came in the Phillies' 84th game of the season, which is faster than any player in franchise history ever reached that mark. Given that the franchise has had some big-time home run hitters, including Mike Schmidt and Ryan Howard, not to mention Schwarber himself, that is a massive accomplishment.
Here is a look at his home run from Sunday:

Along with having some historical significance, it also proved to be the go-ahead and game-winning hit for the Phillies.
It is the sixth consecutive season he has topped the 30-home run mark and his eighth overall.
Schwarber has been one of the league's best home-run hitters since joining the Phillies, and he re-signed with the team this offseason on a long-term deal instead of going elsewhere in free agency.
Due in large part to his power surge, the Phillies have been able to shake off a miserable start to the season and now find themselves just three games back of the Atlanta Braves for the top spot in the National League East.
