Tony Romo reveals the biggest regret of his Cowboys career
USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect

Tony Romo was a four-time Pro Bowl quarterback who spent his entire 13-year NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys.

Romo went 78-49 as a starter in the regular season and just 2-4 in the postseason. Romo threw for a total of 256 touchdowns in his time, and he will forever be remembered by Dallas fans.

On Monday, Romo hopped on an episode of “Pardon My Take,” and he revealed the biggest regret of his career is not bringing a Super Bowl trophy to Dallas.

“I’m not a guy with big regrets, I guess you could say. The only regret I guess I would have is that,” Romo said. “My job was to bring a Super Bowl to Dallas and I didn’t do it. So that always sticks with me a little bit. Because you give your whole body, heart, soul, everything into it.”

Romo and the Cowboys won just two playoff games during his time there, which came in 2009 and 2014.

Since retiring from the NFL, Romo has made the transition to the broadcast booth as an analyst for CBS. However, fans have had plenty of complaints about Romo’s new job.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Cowboys have now gone 30 years without a Super Bowl win. The last one came on January 28, 1996, when Dallas defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XXX.
