What the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Chase bubble looks like after IRP

After Layne Riggs' curb stomping of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series field on Friday at Indianapolis Raceway Park, there are only two races left in the Truck Series regular season. Here's what the Chase grid looks like after 16 races in 2026. 

1. Layne Riggs (Clinched)

2. Kaden Honeycutt (Clinched)

3. Chandler Smith (Clinched)

4. Christian Eckes (+132)

5. Gio Ruggiero (+126)

6. Ty Majeski (+81)

7. Ben Rhodes (+43)

A 15th-place finish at IRP on Saturday was far from a horrible night for Rhodes, but earning stage points at Richmond and New Hampshire will be important for him if he wants to come cushion in case anything goes catastrophically wrong. 

8. Grant Enfinger (+26)

Had he not had contact with Andres Perez in the closing laps, Enfinger may have finished better than 14th and would have a bigger cushion to the cut line. Still, things are boding well for him with two short tracks on deck to close the regular season. 

9. Daniel Hemric (+14)

Hemric lost a whopping 26 points to the cut line after a crash relegated him to a 34th-place finish on Friday at IRP. He's now on the razor's edge of the cut line with no margin for error going into Richmond. 

10. Stewart Friesen (+8)

Friesen and Tyler Ankrum are no longer tied at the cut line after Friesen's sixth-place, 37-point night at IRP on Friday. It'd be one heck of a story if Friesen can come back from the horrible injury he suffered last year in a dirt race and make the Chase. 

11. Tyler Ankrum (-8)

Ankrum only finished three spots back of Friesen in ninth on Friday but earned five fewer stage points, which led to a slightly larger eight-point gap. He's within a single stage's worth of points of Friesen but has a tough battle in front of him if he wants to make the Chase. 

12. Jake Garcia (-32)

It's hard to imagine that there was once a time when Garcia was above the cut line. A 21st-place finish on Friday at IRP may have sealed his fate, as he lost 21 points to the cut line. It's hard to completely count out a ThorSport driver, but Garcia may be an exception. 

13. Andres Perez (-42)

Perez lost 11 points to the cut line despite running top ten for much of the race and finishing 11th. While a trip to the postseason looks unlikely, he's put together a very commendable campaign. 

14. Brenden Queen (-43)

A 20th-place finish for Queen at IRP on Friday was likely the nail in the coffin for his Chase hopes and those of RAM in its first season back in the Truck Series, though Richmond has the potential to be a great race for the defending ARCA champ.
