Aaron Rodgers, Mike McCarthy reunion could already be paying off for Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers want to see Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy bring home another Super Bowl victory together, this time for the Terrible Towel crew.

It's not just wishful thinking, either. This team was No. 1 in its division last season. Now, it is back with the coach who Rodgers already won a Super Bowl with, and Rodgers is back for his final season in the NFL.

So, as the NFL's 2026 season approaches, analysts are looking at this team and trying to see how realistic it is that it could go all the way. One analyst thinks this combo of Rodgers and McCarthy being back is golden.

Alex Kay of Bleacher Report has unleashed a list with one reason each NFL team shouldn't be overlooked this season.

Kay gushes over the Steelers and Rodgers being back in action. He says that the team's "lineup won't look much different than it did last year, but the ceiling on the offense has been raised significantly after Mike McCarthy took over as head coach in the wake of Mike Tomlin's resignation."

Kay adds that "Rodgers can still rekindle enough magic and display enough mastery in McCarthy's scheme to make the Steelers a truly dangerous opponent in 2026."

So, for a team that was already No. 1 in its division last season, now having a championship-winning coach alongside Rodgers is a big step up.
