Maxx Crosby to the Bears is still very possible, NFL insider hints

Maxx Crosby is back with the Las Vegas Raiders, and the new season is just a little over a month away. But, that doesn't mean Crosby is a forever Raider anymore. The team obviously thought enough to try to trade him last offseason, and it could happen again.

Will it happen? That's to be determined. But, one NFL insider is talking like he thinks it's more of a sure thing than many do.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter talked about Crosby and the Raiders on his podcast. Crosby wants to win, and if the Raiders aren't doing it, that could be a problem for both parties.

Maxx Crosby could still end up with the Bears

Speaking with co-host Ty Schmit, Schefter talked about the idea of Crosby being traded and gave a "nod" when asked about the Chicago Bears.

"What if the Raiders are 1-5, 2-6, and we're coming up to the trade deadline in the first week in November and there's a team out there that could use a pass-rusher, and Maxx is playing at the level that we think he can, at another high level," Schefter stated.

He added, "I think that's when the trade potentially could come back into play down the line."

When Schmit asked, "You think that the Bears might be in play?" Schefter kind of skirted the question. But, later, when Schmit brought up the Bears as a landing spot, Schefter definitely shook his head in a positive way.

So, it's just another bit of hope for the Bears fans who would love to see Crosby, a Midwest guy, in Chicago.
