Kyle Larson happy to see NASCAR make changes to caution procedures

It appears NASCAR fans weren't the only ones unhappy with its caution procedures that led to the sanctioning body announcing a change Thursday to limit time spent under caution. 

NASCAR has instituted a new rule in regard to stage cautions which will make a natural yellow within 10 laps of a scheduled stage break become the stage break, which will allow for more green flag racing and less dead time spent under caution.

Defending Cup Series champion Kyle Larson loves the change. 

"I think it's good," Larson said Saturday at Iowa Speedway, per Jeff Gluck of The Athletic, "Because dude, it sucks for all of us when we're out there, we get a caution with five to go to the end of the stage, [and] they're going to try and do a one-lap shootout. You got all that time under caution. You do a one-lap shootout, and it takes 15 minutes for them to do their stupid stage stuff. 

"It's just like, roll on with it. So this is a step in that direction, hopefully to get the races to be shorter. Not shorter distance, just shorter length, and give the fans better excitement."
