OG Anunoby makes a revelation about his iconic NBA Finals tip-in

OG Anunoby seems to be done reliving his iconic tip-in shot in the 2026 NBA Finals.

The New York Knicks forward will forever be known for his game-winning putback in Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, but he apparently is no longer relishing that shot.

“It comes up quite a bit so I see it quite a bit,” Anunoby told Ellie Prophet of Sky News. 

“No. I’m over it now.”

It was quite an admission from Anunoby, but it was on brand.

The former Indiana Hoosiers star has always been nonchalant, even after big plays or moments. It’s all business for Anunoby, who is now a two-time NBA champion, having won his first title in 2019 with the Toronto Raptors, although he did not play in that NBA Finals series.

The Knicks did not win the NBA Finals just yet after Anunoby made the putback with 1.2 seconds remaining in regulation of that contest at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., but it was a clear turning point in the series. Without that shot, the Spurs very likely would have tied the series at 2-2, with Game 5 about to be played in San Antonio. 

Also worth noting, Anunoby’s tip-in capped New York’s unbelievable 107-106 comeback win, as the Knicks trailed by as many as 29 points at one point in the game.
