What the NASCAR Cup Series Chase grid looks like after Richmond

Joey Logano's win in Saturday's Cook Out 400 at Richmond saw the three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion move up to ninth in the standings. Here's what the Cup Series Chase grid looks like with only two races left in the regular season.

Suarez gained a point on the cut line but lost a spot in the standings this week after finishing 16th at Richmond. It'd be nice to see the No. 7 team get back to early-season form and have a pair of nice runs to close the regular season. 

14. Bubba Wallace (+70)

Wallace could've ended up with a much more favorable points cushion to the cut line had a caution not come out during green flag pit stops on Saturday. A 20th-place finish at Richmond isn't at all indicative of the speed the No. 23 had, as evidenced by his strong qualifying run and his sixth-place finish in Stage 1. 

15. Austin Cindric (+57)

Talk about a clutch drive. Cindric gained 18 points on the cut line after finishing fourth in both stages and finishing the race in third. He'll go into New Hampshire feeling relatively comfortable. 

16. Shane van Gisbergen (+40)

A strategy gamble from SVG paid off at Richmond, as he finished 14th and only lost seven points to the cut line on a night that could've been much worse. Still, the next two weeks will be tough sledding for the Auckland, New Zealand, native as he tries to hold onto a Chase spot. 

17. Ryan Preece (-40)

Preece also ran top 10 early but finished 17th on a night where he desperately needed a big sum of points. He's not at all out of Chase contention, but needs a huge run at his home track of New Hampshire next week to stay within striking distance going into Daytona. 

18. Ross Chastain (-63)

Chastain squandered another chance to gain on the cut line at Richmond. He finished a decent 12th on Saturday but earned no stage points and has a steep hill to climb to make the Chase. 

19. Brad Keselowski (-78)

If there were ever a time for a vintage two-week span from Brad Keselowski, this is it. The 2012 champ lost a whopping 30 points to the cut line on Saturday at Richmond after a no-show performance that saw him finish 26th.

20. Erik Jones (-81)

Jones didn't fare any better than Keselowski, finishing 27th at Richmond and all but kissing his Chase hopes goodbye.
