Von Miller finds team for 2026, joining Cowboys to improve pass rush

Miller's resume includes two Super Bowl rings, eight Pro Bowl appearances and seven All-Pro honors. 

While the list of accomplishments is impressive and makes him one of the most disruptive defensive players of his era, it is also fair to say he is not that same player right now. He is not going to be somebody who is going to carry a defense and be an every-down, impact player. 

He is 37 years old and has already started to slow down to age and injury issues over the years.

But that doesn't mean he can't still fill a role and make an impact. If you get him on the field in obvious pass-rushing situations where he can go all-out for a few snaps, there is still some production to be squeezed out here, and it is in an area where the Cowboys need a lot of help.

After trading Micah Parsons prior to the 2025 season, the Cowboys defense was again one of the worst in the league and a serious problem all year. They have tried to dramatically overhaul that unit with the additions of players like Kenny Clark (as part of the Parsons trade), Quinnen Williams, Rashan Gary and the selection of defensive back Caleb Downs in the 2026 NFL Draft. Now, Miller will also be a part of that.
