After a homecoming season back with the Los Angeles Chargers, veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen is joining another AFC hopeful ahead of the 2026 campaign.
Allen has agreed to a one-year deal, worth up to $8.32 million with the Indianapolis Colts, according to a late Monday night report by Jordan Schultz.
The move will provide the Colts with a reliable option for Daniel Jones as he looks to pick up where he left off before suffering a season-ending injury on Dec. 7, 2025, a benchmark of a once-promising year for an Indianapolis team that finished 8-9 with seven-straight losses.
While playing in all 17 regular-season games in 2025, Allen caught 81 passes for 777 yards with four touchdowns. He added three more catches for 25 yards in the Chargers' AFC wild-card loss to the New England Patriots.
Allen's production stayed consistent with where it was a season prior with the Chicago Bears.
Following a trade from the Chargers to the Bears, Allen made 70 receptions for 744 yards with seven scores.
No longer a No. 1 option, Allen's most recent play shows he can still help an NFL offense. However, it's also important to note that every catch only enhances Allen's eventual Hall of Fame candidacy.
In 13 seasons, Allen, the then-San Diego Chargers' third-round pick in 2013, has accumulated 1,055 receptions, 12,051 yards, an average of 11.4 yards per catch and 70 touchdowns across 171 NFL games played.
A six-time Pro Bowler, Allen also owns the distinction of being named the 2017 Comeback Player of the Year.
