Angel Reese was in no mood for pleasantries during Sunday’s game.
Reese and the Atlanta Dream played on Sunday against the WNBA-best Minnesota Lynx. During the second quarter at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Ga., Reese drove to the basket and spun right into a double-team from Minnesota guard Courtney Williams.
Williams got physical with Reese, leading to Reese begging the referee for a foul. The Dream star did not get her wish though as the officials simply called a jump ball instead.
That led to Reese turning her frustration towards Williams. The television broadcast showed Reese seemingly delivering a ruthless one-word insult to Williams — “baldhead.” Here is the video.

While Williams does have a short-hair look, other amateur lip readers thought that Reese called Williams a “punk a–” instead. In any case though, Reese was certainly not complimenting Williams on her basketball skills there.
In the end, it was the Dream who earned an upset 89-81 win over the Lynx as Reese finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds on 5/9 shooting. Meanwhile, the incident with Williams came just a couple of weeks after Reese got testy with Connecticut’s Aaliyah Edwards during a game as well.
