The new season is fast approaching and Broncos fans are excited. With several key players returning from injury, this team looks primed to make a Super Bowl run. But, can they stay healthy?
This is a question posed to several players on the roster, some of whom have struggled with injuries of late. J.K. Dobbins in particular, is a name that comes to mind.
Dobbins just recently recovered from a Lisfranc foot sprain injury that required season-ending surgery in 2025. So the goal for 2026 is to stay healthy, and that is exactly the promise he made with the Denver media.
According to reports, Dobbins has made a pink promise with local media, promising to stay healthy for all 17 games this season.
#Broncos RB JK Dobbins made a pinky promise with local media that he’ll stay healthy for all 17 games and lead the NFL in rushing this season. If not, he owes them all a drink.

If he fails, he has said he will buy every one of them a drink, which will surely be a costly expense. So here’s to him staying healthy all season long.
J.K. Dobbins almost didn’t have the chance to make a pinky promise this season. After all, he had a minor injury scare last month during Broncos training camp.
On August 10, 2026, it was reported that Dobbins had suffered a minor soft-tissue/hamstring injury. However, HC Sean Payton was sure he would be fine, and the 27-year-old returned to training after a short recovery.
Dobbins is a key cog in the Denver offense so it was certainly a scary moment for all involved. Hopefully, this the last scare the Broncos have this season.
