Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark have big bounce back in Team USA-Czech Republic game

Over the weekend, Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark and Team USA took on Team Italy in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, and they barely got a 55-52 win. It would have been quite an upset if they had fallen to Team Italy, but they didn't give up, and they got over that hurdle.

On Monday, Team USA bounced back from that rough game in a big way. They beat the Czech Republic in an impressive 105–64 win. It's obviously a one-sided victory, and it shows that Team USA can bounce back from adversity.

The strong win over the Czech Republic had six Americans scoring in double digits. Breanna Stewart had the highest number of points on the board with 19 points, as well as seven rebounds and six assists.

Team USA bounced back in a big way

Angel Reese came in next, adding 13 points and six rebounds to the tally. Napheesa Collier and Jackie Young each scored 12 points. Paige Bueckers and Sonia Citron had 10 points each. Caitlin Clark notched nine points, seven assists and one rebound, also shooting 3-of-8 from the field and 1-of-6 from three-point range.

"When you have a performance that you’re not pleased with, the best thing to do is to be honest and look at the areas you can improve, and then grow and get better," USA head coach Kara Lawson said, according to USAB.com. "I think our best is in front of us, but we need to continue to have that mindset as we get ready for the medal round."

Next up, the team takes on whichever team wins Tuesday's game between Hungary and Japan. Team USA will play in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
