Giants fans will love what John Harbaugh had to say about Jaxson Dart

New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh is heading into a new season with a fresh team and a new quarterback in Jaxson Dart, and he just said something about the signal-caller that Giants fans may want to hear.

In an interview that aired Friday, Harbaugh sat down with former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin on "The NFL on NBC" to talk football.

Harbaugh was asked about the upcoming season with the Giants and the talent that he has on this roster. When he talked about Dart, he gushed over the quarterback and gave him a huge vote of confidence.

John Harbaugh has high praise for Jaxson Dart

"He's even more talented than I thought he was," Harbaugh said of Dart, now that the two have gotten to know each other over the course of the past few months.

"Like when you watch a player every day in practice, you get a sense of what he's capable of doing," Harbaugh added. "He can really throw it. He really has a great pocket presence. He understands the pocket. He feels it. He also sees downfield."

He continued, saying that Dart can "get out and move and he can make plays. He's got a patience and poise about him. You know, he's learning. Our coaches are doing a great job with him every single day. And, you know, he's got to find a way to be tight and refined like all the quarterbacks do."

That's quite a statement about Dart. Last season, the quarterback played in 14 games and had 2,272 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns and five interceptions. It'll be interesting to see the trend this season.
