Rams get big Aaron Donald update after Myles Garrett's injury blow

When it rains, it pours for the Los Angeles Rams.

They weren't competitive in their Week 1 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, and they've now lost their biggest offseason addition.

Superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett will undergo surgery to address a knee injury that kept him on the shelf through training camp.

However, it's not all bad. According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the Rams might finally get superstar DT Aaron Donald back on the field in Week 2.

Aaron Donald might finally make his debut

"When the Rams play next Monday night vs. the Giants, they will be without Myles Garrett but they very well could have back Aaron Donald," Schefter shared on his X account.

After months of speculation and rumors, the Rams finally got Donald to make a heroic comeback from his early retirement.

Shortly after they acquired Garrett, the former Super Bowl champion Donald got to work, ramping up his preparation to get back in game shape, though the Rams didn't have him join them in Australia and gave him another week to rest and prepare for his debut.

Garrett was a non-factor in the loss. He didn't register a single stat or pressure, and he had to rotate on and off of the field.

Now, he's about to miss at least the next four games, though he might still need more time to get back to his usual self.

In the meantime, Byron Young and the greatest pass rusher of his generation will have to pick up the slack.

It could be worse.
