Yankees reveal Aaron Judge's injury status after concerning exit vs. Twins

The hearts of fans of the New York Yankees sank in the sixth inning of Wednesday's loss to the Minnesota Twins when Heliot Ramos stepped to the plate.

The reason for the freak-out was due to the fact that Ramos was entered into the game as a pinch hitter in the spot previously occupied by Aaron Judge. Judge is working his way back from an injury, but it instantly sent concern to both fans and even the Yankees broadcast booth.

Joe Girardi immediately knew something was wrong

Michael Kay and Joe Girardi were on the call Wednesday, and as soon as Ramos came to the plate, Girardi knew something was off.

"There has to be an issue," Girardi said when Kay asked his opinion on the situation.

The two announcers then went silent about the matter and continued to call the game as it happened.

Aaron Judge's injury status has been revealed

After a couple of innings of concern and no updates, Yankees fans finally got an update on their superstar and the captain of the team.

According to Meredith Marakovits of the YES Network, Judge exited Wednesday's game with right lower leg tightness.

Judge made no rehab assignments and has appeared in just seven games since returning from the rib injury that caused him to miss over three months of action.

Aaron Boone does not know how serious the injury is

After the game, Yankees manager Aaron Boone spoke to the media and said he is not yet aware of how serious Judge's injury is.

Boone revealed he decided to remove Judge to hopefully avoid any further injury and that Judge will receive plenty of treatment on Wednesday, as well as on Thursday, which is an off day for the Yankees.

Boone also told reporters he did not want to speculate on how serious or unserious the injury is, as it is too early in the process to know the extent.

The entire fanbase will be anxiously awaiting the next update on Aaron Judge

With the off day on Thursday, an update on Judge likely won't be given until Friday afternoon. That update will be a massive one, as it will either relieve the worries of Yankee fans or it will crush them if the news is bad and Judge is forced to miss more time just ahead of the postseason.
