Rams' Sean McVay drops big Myles Garrett 'Wolverine' injury update

The Los Angeles Rams won't have their biggest offseason addition on the field for the next month or so.

Following an underwhelming debut in Australia, Myles Garrett finally underwent surgery on his left knee to address the issue that's been bothering him since training camp.

The former Cleveland Browns star will miss at least the next four games, with Week 6 vs. the Arizona Cardinals as the first game he'll be eligible to return.

And while the initial timeline wasn't very optimistic, head coach Sean McVay just brought hope back. Per ESPN insider Sara Barshop, the Rams' head coach apparently believes Garrett's body is made of Adamantium.

Myles Garrett is healing like Wolverine

"Sean McVay said Myles Garrett is 'feeling good' after his Monday knee surgery, but the head coach said he doesn't want to put a timeline on Garrett's return," Barshop shared on X. "'He had crutches yesterday and then he was walking without crutches today. So he's like Wolverine healing fast.'"

Garrett is certainly built like a Marvel superhero, and he's rarely missed time with injuries, so this certainly tracks.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year was a non-factor in the blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

He was hesitant, slow, and was gassed and grasping for air between plays, all while clearly trying to protect that left knee.

So, even if this won't be a chronic issue, the Rams are doing the right thing by nipping it in the bud and letting him heal at the start of the season.

And with another Marvel superhero in Aaron Donald likely making his debut in Week 2, they should be just fine in his absence.
