Caitlin Clark has an ambitious idea for the WNBA

Over the past couple of years, the NBA has gone global by hosting international regular-season games.

There have even been rumors of a global tournament featuring the best teams from Europe other continents in the future.

That's why, after watching European fans go crazy in the FIBA World Cup in Germany, Caitlin Clark also wants a taste of that for her league.

Reflecting on her Team USA experience, the Indiana Fever superstar tipped her hat to European fans and wished the WNBA could also benefit from their passion.

“I think for the United States getting to go over into Europe and play was amazing,” Clark said. “The amount of young kids and young fans that were super excited to see us was cool. I think we’re just scratching the surface of where we can go globally.”

Clark didn't stop there, and she took the liberty of proposing the new WNBA commissioner to host a game overseas as early as next season.

“And I wouldn’t be surprised if next year you see a game played overseas of some sort,” the point guard added. “I would sign up for that. I think it’d be really good to help expand the WNBA, and I’m looking forward to that.”
