Noah Fifita sets Arizona career passing yardage record

Noah Fifita set the Arizona Wildcats' career passing yards record with a seven-yard completion to Isaiah Mizzell in the fourth quarter of a 42-17 win over Northern Illinois on Saturday night. Fifita passed Super Bowl LII Most Valuable Player Nick Foles. Fifita now has 10,017 career passing yards.

Foles had 10,011 career passing yards from 2009-11. In addition to the Arizona career passing yards record, Fifita set the program touchdown pass record in 2025. With four TD passes on Saturday, Fifita now has 80 in his Arizona career.

Fifita also owns Arizona program records with 527 passing yards in a 59-23 win at Arizona State in 2023, 29 TD passes in 2025, 10,297 total yards and 86 TDs responsible for. Foles also previously held the Arizona total offense record with 9,712.

After Fifita set the Arizona career passing yards record, he was taken out of the game and was acknowledged at Casino Del Sol Stadium. Fifita now has the opportunity to become the first Arizona quarterback with 100 career TD passes and he is on pace to approach his own single-season TD passing record.

Noah Fifita 2026 season numbers

After his performance on Saturday, Fifita has completed 77-of-95 attempts for 834 yards, seven TDs and one interception, with 22 carries for 66 yards and two scores in 2026.

Fifita's 91.2 completion percentage against Northern Illinois on Saturday was the second-best of his career with more than four pass attempts. Fifita completed 24-of-26 attempts for 269 yards, two TDs and no interceptions in a 31-28 loss at Houston in 2025. The loss to Houston in 2025 and win over Northern Illinois are the only two career games that Fifita completed over 90 percent of his pass attempts.

Fifita has two more Arizona records that are attainable. Foles holds Arizona records of 933 completions and 1,396 attempts. Fifita now has 862 career completions and 1,305 attempts. He is on pace to break the completion and attempt records later this season.
