Jackson Chourio makes MLB history in win against the Orioles

Sunday was a historic day for the Milwaukee Brewers in more ways than one.

By completing a three-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles with a 3-0 win in the series finale at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Md., the Brewers set a new franchise record for most wins in a season. It was their 98th win in the 2026 campaign, surpassing the 97 victories they collected in 2025.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee outfielder Jackson Chourio stole two bases to become the first player in MLB history to have at least three seasons with 20 or more stolen bases and 20 or more home runs before turning 23, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com.

Through Sunday, Chourio, who turned 22 in March, has 24 homers and 21 stolen bases, while sporting a slash line of .285/.344/.481 in 121 games. He could have reached the 20-20 plateau much earlier if not for a left-hand injury he suffered during the World Baseball Classic, which forced him to miss several games at the start of the 2026 campaign. Chourio only made his season debut on May 4.

The Venezuelan star arrived in the big leagues in 2024, hitting 21 home runs and stealing 22 bases. The following season, he hit 21 dingers and stole 21 bases.

The scary part for Brewers rivals is that Chourio is still only getting started.
