Malik Nabers goes down with injury moments after Jaxson Dart exits

The New York Giants lost stars Jaxson Dart and Malik Nabers within a matter of minutes during Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Nabers got hurt while attempting to make a play on a ball thrown behind him with seconds remaining in the first quarter at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. The Giants wide receiver tried to fend off cornerback Trent McDuffie with his left arm and reached out awkwardly with his right to make the grab on a pass thrown by Jameis Winston.

Malik Nabers left the game with an apparent right shoulder injury after this play.

Nabers’ injury happened shortly after Dart left the game with a knee issue. The Giants quarterback got sandwiched between two defenders while trying to keep New York’s opening drive alive.

The 23-year-old was initially deemed questionable to return. The good news for Giants fans is that Nabers was able to return to the field on his team’s next offensive possession.

Nabers has dealt with shoulder issues since college. He battled through a partially torn labrum last season, which he opted not to have surgery on while he recovered from his torn ACL.
