Miguel Rojas was the hero for the Los Angeles Dodgers during the 2025 postseason, but his 2026 postseason is off to a much worse start.
The Dodgers infielder Rojas had to exit Tuesday’s NLDS Game 3 against the Atlanta Braves in the middle of an at-bat. During the eighth inning at Truist Park in Atlanta, Ga., Rojas fouled off a 1-0 pitch from Braves reliever Brent Suter and immediately came up grimacing.
Rojas was unable to finish his plate appearance and went on to walk off the field with trainers. Here is the video of Rojas’ injury.

Dodgers teammate Tommy Edman replaced Rojas in the game, finishing out his at-bat and also taking Rojas’ place in the field. The Dodgers soon officially announced that Rojas had left the contest due to “low back pain.”
Now 37 years old, Rojas is a two-time Dodgers champion who is very beloved by the team’s fanbase. Most notably, Rojas was directly responsible for the Dodgers’ 2025 championship by famously hitting a game-tying ninth-inning home run in Game 7 of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays.
But Rojas is now only on a one-year deal with the Dodgers and previously announced that he intends for the 2026 season to be his last. As such, it remains to be seen if that was Rojas’ last-ever at-bat in Major League Baseball.
