The Detroit Lions are 2-2 and looking for ways to climb up the NFC North. The only real way they're going to do it is to win more games and hope that others in the NFC North don't.
The Lions are coming up on a game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. This is the team where current Lions offensive coordinator Drew Petzing headed up the offense before he came to Detroit.
Thankfully for the Lions, the Cardinals are 1-3 and struggling. So, the Lions really have a golden opportunity to bounce back against them.
In a predictions piece released on the NFL's official website, Brooke Cersosimo picks the Lions as a winner over the Cardinals.
"After a hot start in Week 1, the Cardinals certainly have cooled off," Cersosimo notes.
The opportunity the Lions have here is really the Cardinals' struggling defense. Arizona's defense has been giving up points in bunches, allowing 29.3 per game, and Detroit could be next to take advantage.
"The Lions' pick-your-poison unit -- with Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta in tow -- should have no problem rebounding from last week's roller-coaster loss in Carolina," Cersosimo adds.
So, the Lions will look to get back on track after their Week 4 loss to the Carolina Panthers, and this matchup gives their playmakers a chance to get the offense rolling again.
