The Philadelphia Eagles entered the 2026 season with Super Bowl aspirations, but this is turning into a lost year after a 2-4 start and Jalen Hurts being ruled out for the season with blood clots in his leg and lungs.
Howie Roseman is not the type of general manager to settle for a 7-10 or 8-9 season. Don't be surprised if he trades away some big names before the Nov. 10 deadline to recoup assets for a mini rebuild. If the Eagles decide to go that route, here are some stars who could be moved.
Roseman doesn't place much value on high-end running backs. He paid up for Barkley in 2024 because the Eagles were an elite roster in need of an explosive rusher to take their offense to the next level, and that's exactly what he did. Barkley rushed for 2,005 yards in his first year in Philly and helped the Eagles win their second Super Bowl in franchise history.
That elite roster has dissipated, making Barkley an expensive luxury who isn't worth the money anymore.

A key theme of Roseman's tenure has been moving players a year early rather than a year late, and now would be the time to offload Barkley for draft picks before his two-year, $41.2 million contract kicks in.
Ojomo is in the final year of his rookie contract. The Eagles don't have the money to re-sign the talented defensive tackle after committing $230 million to Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, so it would be wise to swap him for draft picks before he hits the open market.
Contending teams with money to spend would be happy to give up some draft capital for Ojomo and sign him to a contract extension now instead of bidding for him in free agency. This feels like a move that Roseman is already kicking around on the phones.
This one would be a shock, but you can't rule it out.
DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell are due for new contracts in 2028. Considering both young stars have already made First Team All-Pro, those contracts won't be cheap. The Eagles might have to choose which player to extend and which one to let walk, but they could make that decision easier by trading DeJean while his value is at its peak.
