The 'NBA season-opener scoring records' quiz

While there was plenty of attention on the new arrivals featuring in the season-opening matchup between the Timberwolves and Heat, Anthony Edwards made sure to remind everyone he hasn’t gone anywhere. 

With Giannis Antetokounmpo and LaMelo Ball making their respective debuts for Miami and Minnesota, it was Edwards who stole the show by setting a T-Wolves record with a 45-point season opener to lead Minnesota to a 131-106 victory.

After finishing sixth in the West last season and losing in the Western Conference Semifinals, Edwards and the Wolves decided they needed to make an offseason splash to get over the hump and into the NBA Finals. Through a single game, it looks like it was a move worth making.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Edwards beat his own Timberwolves season-opening scoring record of 41 points, which he set against Portland last season. With that being said, can you name the players to score the most points in a season-opener for each NBA franchise?
