North Carolina staffers had no idea about Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s breakup

Bill Belichick’s breakup with Jordon Hudson was so quiet that even North Carolina staffers had no idea it happened.

Multiple people within the North Carolina football office told Kevin Skiver and John Brice of USA Today Saturday that they were completely unaware Belichick and Hudson split up. They, like many others, only found out through a TMZ report that emerged Friday night.

Hudson had been seen on the sidelines at North Carolina games during the 2026 season, and by all indications, she was still at least somewhat close to the program. It is completely understandable that even high-level staffers might be caught off guard by the news as long as Hudson retained that sort of access.

These staffers might not be sorry to see Hudson go. There were reports last season that the school had banned her from being around the program, though these claims were later denied.

According to TMZ, the breakup happened late last year, but the two remain involved together in various business projects. Evidently, they’ve been putting up a convincing front if they had people in the athletic department still believing they were together.
