Packers RB Josh Jacobs explains his mindset on potentially missing more games

Green Bay Packers' star running back Josh Jacobs doesn't seem worried that the NFL's still-open investigation into him will result in any more missed time.

Jacobs missed the first six games of the season while on the commissioner's exempt list in what was essentially paid leave.

His presence on the CEL stemmed from a May 23 alleged domestic violence incident involving a woman at his home in the Green Bay area.

Jacobs pled no contest to charges of battery and criminal destruction of property in early September. He ended up being convicted of battery and fined $1,000. He also reached a deferred judgment agreement on the charge of damage to property.

The Packers' star running back was taken off the exempt list in Week 7 despite the fact that the NFL had not yet completed its investigation into potential violations of the personal conduct policy. He returned to action and has played in Green Bay's last two games.

This past weekend, news broke that several other allegations against Jacobs had come out during the law enforcement investigation into him, and the NFL will review those allegations as well.

Those allegations were a part of the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department's investigation, and they were released as a response to a public records request.

Jacobs does not seem worried that these new revelations will change his playing status, though.

"With all the evidence that we have and that they have at this point, it's not one of those things where I'm sitting back on my hands like, 'OK, am I going to play this week?'" Jacobs said on Wednesday, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. "It's like, I kind of already know what it is, so it's like ... it's really just up to them to make their final decision. But like I'm not worried about feeling like I'm going to miss any more time than I already have."

Multiple allegations have been made against Packers RB Josh Jacobs

According to the legal records, one woman had contacted the police after Jacobs' arrest in May to say that she had experienced something similar with him in 2022, when he was with the Las Vegas Raiders.

A second woman alleged a physical altercation with Jacobs in 2021, but the Hobart/Lawrence police department obtained records from that alleged incident and found that officers at the time "observed no visible signs of injury, bruising or damage consistent with a physical altercation."

A third woman also described a physical altercation with Jacobs but said that she didn't report the incident at the time (May 2022) because she wasn't a U.S. citizen at the time and the star running back allegedly threatened her with deportation.

Jacobs, as well as his attorneys, have denied the allegations against them, and on Tuesday, he said that they were "completely made up".

The Packers and head coach Matt LaFleur also seem to be in support of Jacobs.

"We're going to allow the NFL to do its process, but I would anticipate him being a member of us moving forward," LaFleur said on Monday. "That's really all I have to speak on."
