The original Nike SB x Wizard of Oz Dunks were undeniably one of the most sought-after skateboarding shoe drops in 2024. And as Nike SB often does (usually behind-the-scenes), they made a small run of super limited 'Ruby Red Slipper' Dunks to go along with them—specifically designated for friends and family.

Well, it looks like a few pairs (accidentally?) fell through the cracks and ended up at skate shops. Which skate shops? Don't ask me! How many pairs? Who knows! But we know one pair was found at Bluetile skate shop in South Carolina, which leads me to believe there must be more! Take a look:

Hey, don't shoot the messenger here, either! I'm just as intrigued and fascinated as anyone else, but here's what our friends at @nikesbornothing reported on earlier today:

"Some pics of the Ruby Red Slipper Wizard of Oz Dunks. They come with the 'Surrender Dorothy' insoles, another FnF insole and one from release. Again, I’m told these are supposed to be Friends and Family pairs but that some might have slipped into the Wizard of Oz Dunk restock that just hit shops. Check with your locals about the quiet restock. Big thanks to the anonymous person who sent me these pics."

Additionally, Bluetile skate shop owner, David Toole—a dude who is certainly no stranger to Dunk releases and sneaker talk—posted a video as well, because it was a customer in his shop that originally discovered the shoes. Pretty wild! Feels more like Willy Wonka than Wizard of Oz, if you ask me. Check the quick video he made below:

It doesn't sound like this was a scheme or anything, could've just been an honest mistake. But for anyone out there who finds these limited kicks, they'll be seriously striking gold!

Anyways, we'll share more as we learn more. Pretty exciting stuff nonetheless.
