Why Did Nike SB Make a Skateable Air Max 95?

Nike SB is having a banner year, hell seems like they always are. The SB'd Jordan 4 came out in April, Arts-Rec just dropped one of the best skateshop collabs Nike SB has ever done, and now in the middle of summer, we can expect a SB version of the fabled Air Max 95. They tapped lifelong shoe aficionado Eric Koston to break it all down. Peep the origin story. 

"Why the 95? Eric Koston explains. The Nike SB Air Max 95 will be available August 1 in select skate shops globally, August 2 in select U.S. shops, August 5 in SNKRS and August 22 in SNKRS U.S."

All this plus Antonio Durao just tossed an easy one foot Ollie down Wallenberg on his IG. Big moves coming soon?

The pink and white colorway is dropping first, but keep your eyes peeled for a special "Koston" blue and yellow colorway you can see him skating in the Youtube video. Those ones have his name on the tongue!
