No, that isn't a typo in the headline.

Arizona Snowbowl, known for being the state of Arizona's largest ski resort by most metrics, has announced something that has all of us here at POWDER excited.

For the upcoming Winter 25/26 season, Arizona Snowbowl will sell daily lift tickets starting at just $10. Lift tickets started at $19 last season.

“Ticket prices can be a barrier to those who would otherwise love to try skiing or snowboarding,” said Angie Grubb, marketing manager at Arizona Snowbowl. “With low priced tickets, free skiing for kids, and new upgrades, we’re making Snowbowl more accessible and memorable for locals and visitors alike.”

So, how is Arizona Snowbowl, in the year 2025, able to sell lift tickets for less than the cost of a Big Mac meal at McDonald's? Dynamic pricing. As demand for lift tickets increases, so does the price, and vice-versa. Arizona Snowbowl's sister resort, Brian Head, is using a similar model with lift tickets starting at just $14 this season.

You would be hard-pressed to find a lift ticket anywhere, let alone at a decent-sized western ski resort, for $10, but the dynamic pricing model does have its consequences.

Following a massive snowstorm on a holiday weekend in 2023, Arizona Snowbowl became the first American ski resort to sell a daily lift ticket for over $300. Lift tickets were sold for as much as $309 as demand soared. The moment made national headlines.

It's unlikely that such a perfect storm would occur again, but it's worth remembering if you plan on skiing Arizona Snowbowl this season. Expect cheap lift tickets, but know that prices can and will increase if fresh snow falls.

A quick glance at Arizona Snowbowl's ticket calendar shows that most mid-season weekend and holiday lift tickets are currently selling for as low as $69. That's still an incredible deal considering some western resorts charge as much as $250+ per day, but bargain hunters will have to ski between Tuesday and Thursday to find $10 tickets. Arizona Snowbowl also has dozens of days that are selling for $12, $15, and $19.

If you're looking to buy lift tickets, do it now, and kudos to Arizona Snowbowl for taking steps to making skiing affordable. We all appreciate it.
