Team USA alpine skiing star Lindsey Vonn returned to the slopes of Cortina on Saturday, logging her second downhill training run just one day before the Olympic final, and finishing with the third-fastest time.
The 41-year-old American, competing at her fifth Winter Games, is skiing with a torn ACL sustained just over a week ago in Crans Montana.
Vonn made headlines by returning to training days later and completing a full downhill run on Friday. She's trying to become the oldest Alpine Olympic medalist, by six years, at the Milan Cortina Games.
On Saturday morning, Vonn shared a short clip on X of her and her Team USA teammates en route to the hill, where she posted the third-best mark later in the morning.
“On our way to work! Course looks good today, snow is a lot more firm. Should run quite a bit faster,” Vonn posted. “Because of that, I’ve decided to start in the training run today. See you out there .”
In the short clip, Vonn appears smiling with teammates, getting another go at the Olympia delle Tofane course. The training run, however, finished before every athlete could go through it, with only 21 racers starting as the session was called off "due to foggy and snowy conditions," per Alessandro Poggi.
The post garnered over 10,000 likes about four hours after being shared, with more than 250,000 people watching the video on X.
Vonn took the hill from the 15th start position and finished in 1:38.28 on Saturday, with teammate Breezy Johnson posting the fastest mark, 1:37.91.

During the run, Vonn’s knee appeared to buckle slightly after one jump, raising concern due to her ACL injury. Vonn recovered quickly and finished strong.
“All good,” Vonn told The Associated Press after the run.
Vonn remains one of the top contenders despite her injury, having a record 12 World Cup wins at the Cortina venue and entering the competition positioned among the betting favorites before tearing her ACL.
The Olympic downhill race is scheduled for Sunday at 5:30 a.m. ET, streaming live on Peacock.
