One of the steepest discounts in skiing is returning to King Pine Ski Area, New Hampshire, this winter.

The discount only covers skiing on December 18, 2025, and is called Ticket Roll Back Day. It offers $4 tickets. Just 1,000 tickets qualify for the deal, and they must be purchased online in advance on King Pine’s website

The ski area is offering a different, time-sensitive deal on bundled season passes. Through October 13, skiers can buy a family four-pack of King Pine season passes for $2,130. Free lift tickets, meanwhile, are available to King Pine visitors who book a two-night or more stay. Those packages include lodging and two free lift tickets per day per unit.

Ski Resorts With Lift Ticket Deals

The small, six-lift ski area in New Hampshire isn’t the only mountain selling tickets that cost far less than those usually available at major destinations. To celebrate its 60th anniversary on December 19, 2025, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is selling $60 tickets that are far cheaper than the $200 or more tickets available on other dates that month.

Arizona Snowbowl uses dynamic pricing to sell lower-cost advance tickets that increase in price with demand. Several Mountain Capital Partners ski areas, including Lee Canyon, Nevada, and Purgatory, Colorado, use the same program. On April 1, 2026, an offer hidden on Arizona Snowbowl’s website includes $1 lift tickets that, at the time of writing this, are still available

Season passes remain the most economical option for frequent skiers, but if you know where to look, you can still grab lift tickets that cost as much as a nice dinner, a few bags of chips, or less.

The challenge is that, like season passes, these tickets require plenty of foresight. Dynamic pricing, while great for scoring surprisingly cheap lift tickets before the winter starts, has also resulted in surprisingly expensive lift tickets on powder days.

If you’re hoping to arrive at a ski area in late December and buy $25 tickets at the window in 2025, you might want to invest in a time machine instead.
