A beloved Vermont resort will join the Indy Pass for the 2026-2027 season.
Smugglers’ Notch has been added to the pass. There will be no blackout dates for the upcoming season either. It has 14 Indy Pass member ski areas within a two hour radius of it.
“Indy Pass gives us an opportunity to invite a new group of skiers and riders to come experience Smuggs for themselves,” Smugglers’ Notch Resort General Manager Brandon Swartz said in a press release. “Smuggs, Bear Den, and Indy share a commitment to independent mountains, families, affordability and protecting the character of the skiing and riding experience. We believe this partnership can introduce more people to what makes Smuggs special while preserving the experience our resort guests, passholders, and homeowners have valued for generations.”
Indy Pass holders can redeem two days of skiing or riding at Smugglers’ Notch Resort, plus a third day at 25% off, with no blackout dates. Advanced reservations will be required.
Current season pass holders can purchase an Indy Add-On Pass at a discounted rate. The pass is back on sale to the public as of September 8, 2026.
“Smuggs is a world-class ski destination that has always belonged in the Indy Pass family,” said Indy Pass Director Erik Mogensen, who himself grew up skiing at the resort. Mogensen penned a personal letter to all Indy Pass holders about the significance of the addition, adding that “Smuggs joining the Indy Pass is a clear statement that independent resorts continue to band together and push back on the corporatization of skiing.”
