This week hasn’t been kind to Tottenham Hotspur, with Domino’s devilishly announcing that they have delivered 91,326,817 pizzas since we last won a game.

Food is a go-to at times of stress, and one has to wonder how many of these delicious disk-shaped delights were ordered by Tottenham fans, perhaps like Paddy Power, they simply don’t care.

The players themselves have been tucking in, but definitely not using advertising deals to secure the best price. Telegraph Sport understands that on Wednesday night, De Zerbi took Tottenham players and staff to the Bacchanalia restaurant in Mayfair, where a main course costs from £40 to £130.

De Zerbi is said to have organised the meal himself following the defeat to Sunderland in his first game as head coach, which prompted the Italian to reveal that changing the mentality of his Spurs players is his biggest challenge.

Let’s hope the meal was a bigger success than the last effort to raise spirits ahead of the visit of their fierce rivals, Tudor and the squad went to Greek-Cypriot restaurant Ousia in Muswell Hill.

Pictures of the team-bonding trip have circulated online with Xavi Simmons, Djed Spence, Wilson Odobert, Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr, Destiny Udogie, and Kevin Danso all seen closest to the camera. The group all appear to be wearing casual clothes with several caps seen at the table. Drinks were said to include bottles of Coke and water.

The next Spurs match is at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Spurs are in a very tough spot and are likely to struggle or lose at home against a much stronger, in-form Brighton side, and most previews so far tend to favour an away win or high-scoring draw.
