Tottenham Hotspur were keen on signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford during the summer transfer window, but the player has decided to join Manchester United instead.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the 25-year-old has made his preference clear, and Tottenham should look to move on to other targets now. Jacobs claims that Tottenham are keen on signing Tyler Dibling from Southampton.

He was labelled as a “special” player last season, and he has the potential to develop into a top-class Premier League attacker. He will not want to compete in the Championship, and a return to the Premier League will be quite attractive for him.

Dibling could fancy Spurs move

Tottenham are one of the biggest clubs in the country, and the opportunity to join them will be quite exciting for him. They could provide him with regular gametime and the opportunity to test himself in the UEFA Champions League next season.

The 20-year-old mainly operates on the right flank, but he is capable of slotting into other attacking roles as well. He will add creativity and unpredictability to the Tottenham attack. He has been likened to Cole Palmer.

Tyler Dibling would be a future asset

Tottenham have done well to bring in talented young players in recent windows, and Dibling would add to the formidable pool of young talent at the club. If they can sign him for a reasonable amount of money this summer, the deal could look like a bargain in the long term.

Tottenham managed to win the UEFA Europa League last season, but they were quite disappointing in the Premier League. They finished 17th on the table. They will need to bounce back strongly next year, and quality signings will certainly help them.

Dibling has the tools to develop into a key player for them with the right guidance. Regular football at Tottenham could bring out the best in him.
