AC Milan star Adrien Rabiot has praised Inter Milan for their standout results in the Champions League over the past few years.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Frenchman identified the Nerazzurri as Italy’s best-performing team in Europe.

Formerly linked with Inter, Adrien Rabiot joined AC Milan from Olympique Marseille at the tail-end of the summer transfer window.

Indeed, after just one season in Ligue 1, the 30-year-old returned to Serie A to join the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, Inter had tried to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain star in the summer of 2024.

With his contract at Juventus expired, Rabiot had emerged as a potential cost-effective signing for the Nerazzurri.

However, after failing to agree terms with Inter, he moved back to his country, signing a short-term deal with Marseille.

Despite his past ties to Juventus and his current contract with Milan, Rabiot waxed lyrical about Inter’s European exploits.

Asked who will fight for the Scudetto this season, Rabiot replied: “As usual, many teams.

“Seeing Roma so high is a bit of a surprise. Napoli remain the strongest.

“Inter are the Italian team that have done better in Europe so far.

“And, unlike us, they have the advantage of playing together for quite some time.

“Juventus have the quality, but less than Napoli or Inter. They still lack the championship-winning chemistry.”

Then, Rabiot admitted he cannot wait to make his debut in the famous Derby della Madonnina.

Indeed, Inter and Milan will renew hostilities on November 23.

“I love big matches,” the French midfielder added. “I can’t wait to play it, especially because there will be valuable points at stake for the standings.

“It’s one of those special games, due to its history and intensity, that every player wants to experience.”
