Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus are closing in on a deal to sign full-back Alberto Costa from Portuguese side Vitoria Giumaraes.

Juventus closing in on Alberto Costa

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported late on Sunday night that the Bianconeri are ‘close’ to closing a deal with Vitoria Giumaraes for the 21-year-old full-back.

According to updates from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Monday morning, Juve are hoping to wrap up a permanent deal for Alberto Costa, for a fee in teh region of €15m. Romano suggests that Portuguese rivals Sporting CP had logged an offer at the €12m mark.

Juve also reportedly have an agreement in place with the defender on personal terms. He is reportedly set to sign a five-year deal should the deal with Vitoria go through.

ALberto Costa is not the only player Juventus are hoping to sign in January, though.

The long-term injuries to Bremer and Juan Cabal mean that Juventus want to bring in at least one new defender this month, while Cristiano Giuntoli is also working on the arrival of a new attacker.

Reports on Monday morning claim that an agreement with PSG for the loan transfer of Randal Kolo Muani is now in place.
