Patrick Dorgu enjoyed one of his most eye-catching displays for Manchester United during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Chelsea.

Whilst both goals came against a 10-man Chelsea side at Old Trafford, United did enjoy a solid 40 minutes of dominance in attack – until Casemiro’s sending off via a second yellow card in the first-half’s injury time allowed the visitors to get more of a foothold on the tie.

Even still, it took the Blues until the 80th minute to halve the deficit through Trevoh Chalobah, after which United were able to cling on and secure a crucial three points.

United seal much-needed win to end Chelsea’s unbeaten streak

It marks United’s second win of the campaign following a 3-2 victory against Burnley prior to the September international break. They again had to dig deep to get that one over the line, with the winning goal coming in the 97th minute and from the penalty spot.

For now, though, Ruben Amorim will take what he can get while hoping his system gels together to allow for more comfortable performances in the coming weeks.

A trip to face Brentford is up next in Saturday’s early kick-off slot followed by a clash with newly-promoted Sunderland on October 4.

Patrick Dorgu impresses in attack and defence vs Blues

Against Enzo Maresca’s side, one Red recorded his maiden Premier League goal contribution in the form of an assist: Dorgu.

Dorgu got on the end of Noussair Mazraoui’s cross to cushion a header into Bruno Fernandes’ path, which the skipper was then able to convert past the floundering Filip Jörgensen.

As well as setting up the opener, the Dane also recorded some pretty stellar statistics throughout the night; Dorgu had 64 touches in total, won four tackles and had four touches in the box.

He made two passes into the final third, created two chances and made two clearances, as per StatmanDave.
