Atalanta chief exec Luca Percassi has welcomed summer arrival Sead Kolasinac.

The former Arsenal defender joined La Dea from Olympique Marseille last month.

Percassi said at today's signing presentation: "I would like to tell you an anecdote about the negotiations with Kolasinac. We had the opportunity to follow him last year, after some telephone conversations around June 20th he confirmed that he wanted to come to Atalanta.

"In these talks he asked us for 15 days of rest to be with his family and be able to get back on track, on 6-7 July he came to Zingonia and signed with us despite the inclusion of other teams.

"This shows the seriousness of the boy, he has demonstrated his way of being with facts. Atalanta is very happy to have him and vice versa, he is a loyal player in his way of being. As an Atalanta fan I think I reflect the thoughts of all the fans."

The CEO then concluded the presentation by t highlighting "the extraordinary and silent work that Lee Congerton and Tony D'Amico do for Atalanta.

"They lead an extraordinary working group and I want to thank them again. Now we are preparing for Wednesday."
