The January transfer window will close in less than two weeks, and while it seemed as though Paris Saint-Germain wanted to focus on seeing players exit to cut their wage bill. However, there might be an addition to the capital club squad.

According to The AthleticLes Parisiens are interested in taking Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on loan for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old has been linked to a possible departure since the summer as he’s failed to live up to the £55-million price they paid Olympique Lyonnais in 2019.

Furthermore, Italian football journalist FabrizioRomano (via Hadrien Grenier) confirms that discussions between the two clubs over Ndombele are ongoing. Tottenham wants PSG to cover 100-percent of the midfielder’s salary, and the Ligue 1 side wants an option to buy attached to the loan.

Romano adds that Ndombele would like to return to France and play for his hometown club as the midfielder is from the Paris suburbs. Spurs and PSG are continuing talks as there are still issues to settle on a potential move.
