Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
It has been a disappointing league campaign for the North London club, and they are 17th in the table. The Australian manager has been linked with an exit, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham decide to show him the door in the coming weeks.
According to TBR football, the Australian manager has requested club chairman Daniel Levy to give him more time to turn things around at Tottenham. He has guided them to a European Cup this season. Tottenham managed to win the UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United recently, and they have secured Champions League qualification for the next season.
It will be interesting to see if Levy is willing to give him more time to turn things around. There is no doubt that Postecoglou has delivered a major trophy at the club, and that has to count for something.
Tottenham have a talented squad, and there is no reason why they cannot bounce back strongly next year. They have struggled with persistent injury problems this season, and with a bit more luck on the injury front, they could perform at a high level next season.
Postecoglou has often been criticised for his overly aggressive approach, but he showed a more balanced tactical set-up in the final of the UEFA Europa League. It remains to be seen whether he can convince Tottenham to stick with him beyond this summer.
