Armenia Veteran & Italy Wingback Most Affected Inter Milan Stars After Managerial Change

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Federico Dimarco have felt the biggest impact since Cristian Chivu took charge of Inter Milan.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Chivu’s appointment has vastly affected the two Nerazzurri stalwarts.

Cristian Chivu took charge of Inter Milan in June after the club severed ties with Simone Inzaghi.

However, despite the coaching change, the San Siro giants didn’t part ways with any of their long-serving first-team stars.

Mkhitaryan & Dimarco Most Affected by Inter Milan Managerial Shift

Federico Dimarco has nailed down a starting berth as his own. However, under Inzaghi, he often came off around the hour mark.

Meanwhile, Chivu’s arrival has changed that, as the new boss regularly keeps him on for at least 80 miuntes.

On the other hand, Mkhitaryan’s influence has dwindled.

Indeed, the Armenian veteran has tumbled down the pecking order this season, with newcomer Petar Sucic taking his place.

Mkhitaryan was one of Inzaghi’s most trusted midfielders.

Yet, he has become a bit-part player in Chivu’s system, with Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, and Sucic all preferred over him.
