Arsenal are reportedly not interested in Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, and will not get into a bidding war with Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Atalanta are clearly hoping to sell forward Ademola Lookman for as much as possible.
To that end, La Dea have been awaiting for offers to arrive from abroad for the 27-year-old.
So far, only Inter have bid for Lookman. And Atalanta have turned down both of their opening offers.
Atalanta have been waiting to see if anything comes of Lookman being offer to Arsenal.
The Gunners would certainly have the resources to up the stakes financially with Inter.
However, Tuttosport report that Arsenal are not looking to sign Lookman.
Therefore, Atalanta cannot rely on a bidding war between Inter and Arsenal or any other club to naturally increase the price tag for Lookman.
The Bergamo club must give the Nerazzurri a valuation themselves.
Inter are willing to go as high as €50 million with their offer. If Atalanta accept this, then they will sign Lookman.
On the other hand, if Atalanta hold out for €55-60 million for the Nigerian international, then Inter will walk away.
